7 best tips to stау hеаlthу thіs summеr

Summer has arrived and its time to make some changes in your daily routine. It is normal for your body to get overwhelmed by high temperatures and heatwaves. In order to have a healthy summer, it is important for you to take precautions and adopt useful tips which are mentioned below.

1. Drink plenty of water

During summer, it is important to stay hydrated as your body loses much water quickly due to heat and sweat. Dehydration will make your immune system weak. So, it is recommended to drink at least 3-4 liters of water in a day.
Carry cold water in an Insulated water bottle whenever you go out, it will keep the water cold for long hours.

2. Eat healthy food

Eat healthy, light, small, and frequent meals to avoid intake of large amounts of fat and carbohydrates that can produce a lot of heat inside the body.
Intake of water-rich foods like Cucumber, Watermelon, Tomatoes, Honeydew melon, Spinach, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Oranges, etc will provide lots of nutrition and fiber with very few calories.
Avoid the intake of oily and high-fat food.

3. Apply sunscreen

Apply a good waterproof sunscreen with Sun Protection Factor(SPF) of at least SPF 30. To ensure that your skin is protected from the sun, it is recommended to reapply it every 3-4 hours to all exposed parts of your body. This will not only keep your skin moisturized but also prevents it from several diseases like sunburn, heatstroke, and skin cancer.

4. Exercise

It is beneficial to do exercise every day. But during summer, it is best to do it either early in the morning or indoors to avoid direct contact with sunlight. It will not only boost your metabolism but also reduces the chance of getting diseases like Heart disease, Asthma, Diabetes, etc.

5. Use sunglasses

To protect your eyes from harmful solar radiation, it is important to wear sunglasses whenever you go out. But, before you buy a sunglass make sure it has 100% UV protection to filter both UVA and UVB rays.
For extra protection, pair your sunglasses with a wide-brimmed hat, which can help protect your eyes (and skin) from UV light that streams in from above or around your glasses.

6. Take proper rest

In summer our body becomes hot and sweaty, making us feel weary and drained. So, make sure to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep to cope up with weariness. In order to get a peaceful sleep, it is highly recommended to take a cold shower before going to bed.

7. Go on a vacation

Summer vacations are really important, as they give you some time to re-calibrate and spend quality with your family and yourself. It's also very important for you to learn a new skill or find a hobby you love. This will reduce your stress level and relax your mind and body.

Takeaway

Stay hydrated, always wear sunscreen, and follow these tips to beat the heat.
